Several players in the Newcastle region are involved in coaching both at the junior and adult level.
ADULT AND JUNIOR COACHING
Melody Francis is a former top 40 player on the womens world tour, and was part of the Australian team that competed in the 2012 world teams championship, placing fourth. Now based in Newcastle, she is the NSW State Junior Coach, running development camps for our most talented juniors, but also coaches adults, and is the current Newcastle Squash Junior Development Chairperson. She can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
Bradley Fullick and Luke Barry coach a squad of up and coming juniors Fridays 5-7pm at Cardiff Squash. This is a great pathway for juniors learning the game, right through to playing tournaments, and many juniors at the centre now hold NSW junior rankings. For more information, contact the courts at Cardiff Squash – www.cardiffsquash.com.au
Phil Jenkinson and Raymond Terrace Squash Centre runs ‘Little Hitters’ – a place where five to eight year olds can learn the basics of the game as well as having fun running around and letting loose all that energy! Wednesday afternoons also sees Junior Pennants played – contact Phil Jenkinson on 4983 1350 for more information or visit the centre’s Facebook page.
Newcastle Squash now has a qualified pool of male and female coaches available to host private and group coaching. If your centre, group of friends (or you yourself individually) want some help with your game, we can connect you with accredited coaches in the Newcastle area, all at a reasonable price.
